I am Matthew Polesel. My great-grandmother was Ida Polesel. My parents are Larry & Sharyn Polesel. My sister is Kelly Helm (Polesel). I live in Florida with my wife Michelle, my son Bradley who is, and the newest member of our family my daughter Jovie who was born on 6/3.

I was very proud to have communications with Amália since the beginnings of this website. I am including the note I received from Claudinei who learned of Amália's death from her son Marco. It is a fitting tribute to a pioneer of the Polesel family Geneology.

Estas informações só existem graças a Dona Amália Taurchini Polesel, esposa de Eddo Polesel, italianos que imigraram para a Venezuela e lá constituíram família e negócios.

Dona Amália, apaixonada por genealogia, incentivou seu sobrinho, Alessando Vaccher, filho de Edda Pollesel,  a percorrer igrejas, cemitérios e cartórios de Treviso para resgatar informações que estavam esquecidas há mais de 500 anos.

Meu contato com D. Amália foi através de e-mails.   Não tive a oportunidade de conhecê-la e, infelizmente, ela faleceu em 20 de abril de 2006, após 9 anos de enfermidade.       

Tenho por ela grande admiração, pois seus gesto,  pioneiro e generoso,  incentivou pesquisadores do mundo inteiro.   

Pete Polesel, nos Estados Unidos e Renzo Polesel, na Itália, desenvolveram páginas na internet (www.polesel.com e www.polesel.it).   Outros  parentes que vivem na Argentina, EUA, Canadá, França, Itália, Suissa e Austrália conheceram um pouco mais sobre suas origens e deram continuidade a pesquisa, gerando descobertas importantes.

This family tree is truly precious. Few families have this privilege. There are information of our ancestor since century XVI until today! 
This information alone exist thanks to Amália Taurchini Polesel, wife of Eddo Polesel, Italians who had immigrated for Venezuela and there they had constituted family and businesses. Amália, who got passionate for genealogy, stimulated her nephew, Alessando Vaccher, son of Edda Pollesel, to cover churches, cemeteries and notary's offices of Treviso to rescue information that were forgotten for more than 500 years. My contact with D. Amália was through e-mails. I did not have the chance to know her in person, unhappily, she passed on 20 of April of 2006, after 9 years of disease. I have for her great admiration, for her gestures, a generous pioneer who stimulated researchers of the entire world. Pete Polesel, in the United States and Renzo Polesel, Italy, had developed pages in the InterNet (www.polesel.com and www.polesel.it). Other relatives who live in Argentina, U.S.A., Canada, France, Italy, Suissa and Australia have more known a little on its origins and had given to continue the research, generating important discoveries.

September 11, 2004: Obituary of Ida Scarpone Polesel

Ida Scarpone Polesel 94, of Indianapolis, died September 11, 2004. She was born on February 14, 1910 in Rocacasale, Italy, to August and Frances (d'Ascanio) Scarpone. Ida was the chef manager for Szabo Food Services for 23 years, retiring in 1973, previously working for Omar Bakery and Wonder Bakery. She is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Augustine Guild, and Daughters of Isabella Madonna Circle. She had volunteer for the Marion County Health Center, St. Vincent dePaul Society and St. Francis Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband: August Polesel, children: Rosemary Vian and Louis Polesel. She is survived by brother Patrick (Rossi) Scarpone; sisters Mary Scarpone and Florence Burke; daughter-in-law Mary Lou Polesel; grandchildren Michael (Kathy) Polesel, Larry (Sharyn) Polesel, Richard (Linda) Polesel, Debra (Tony) Morgan, Becky (Robert) Zehr, Jason (Teri) Vian and Darren Vian; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul Hermitage. Memorials may be given to St Paul Hermitage or St. Vincent dePaul Society. Services entrusted to Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary.
